As per Black Law Dictionary:
Lex terræ /léks téhriy/. The law of the land. The common law, or the due course of the common law; the general law of the land. Equivalent to “due process of law”. In the strictest sense, trial by oath; the privilege of making oath.
LexTerrae is a derivative of two latin word i.e “Lex” (law) and “Terrae” (land). When combined, LexTerrae means Law of the Land. It reflects our founding belief that law is very specific to the land (i.e. jurisdiction) and is deeply interwoven into its history, culture and evolving economy.
